Clothing and Equipment for Your Fall Drop Camp Hunt
There is NO Hunter Orange Required

  1. Sleeping bag made of Hollofill or Qualofill with temperature range good to 20 degrees.
  2. Canteen – Water Personal Container, Water Filter or Clorox bleach for purifying wate
  3. Ground Pad
  4. Quiet Rain Gear, jacket and pants
  5. Gloves
  6. Matches / Lighter
  7. First Aid Kit
  8. Frame Backpack – No extension bars
  9. Hand Soap
  10. Wet wipes
  11. Flash Light
  12. Soft Case for Gun and/or Bow with 20 rounds of Ammo
  13. Camera and film
  14. Good binoculars - you will use these the most so quality will prevent eye strain, allowing you to glass more area.
  15. GPS
  16. Clothing should accommodate layering
    2 - Shirts
    2 – Set of Polypro underwear
    4 - Socks

  17. Game Bags – 1 per quarter of meat and extras for cape and boned meat. (Boondock’s Guide Pack) Every bag of meat must have a waterproof tag with the name and hunting license number attached

  20. 1/8 Nylon Rope
  21. 2 oz. Citric Acid with Sprayer to be mixed with water for Meat Protection or Black Pepper Powdered Citric Acid can be purchased from your local drug store
  22. 5 lbs. Salt
  23. Extra duffel bags or burlap sacks to transport hides and capes home. I have a taxidermist who will handle this if you prefer. Please no suitcases, coolers. or wheeled duffel bags.
  24. Any medication you may require.
  25. Insect head net


Please do not bring all your gear in what I call a giant body bag. Large duffel bags will not fit in a Super Cub aircraft. 2 or 3 small bags will work much better while in the field. If you run into problems with this, pack your smaller bags inside a large one then we can take them out when you get in the field.
